This gorgeous, hardcover notebook from Kanuka Glen Art features the Tuī, a boisterous, medium-sized native bird with distinctive white throat tufts. They look black from a distance, but in good light tuī have a blue, green and bronze iridescent sheen. They are usually very vocal, with a complicated mix of tuneful notes interspersed with coughs, grunts and wheezes. They feed primarily on nectar and honeydew, although they will also eat fruit, and are widespread throughout forest and suburbia - although sadly they are not often found in Canterbury.
